Four Winds Ranch is a Peruvian Horse breeding, training and boarding facility located in southeast Wisconsin. We are 45 minutes from Milwaukee and Madison. The surrounding country side is rolling hills and fertile farm land situated in the Rock River Valley. Our 140 acres provides outdoor trails through the pastures, meadow and along the river. It is perfect for Peruvian horse boarding, Peruvian Horse training, and Peruvian Horse breeding..

We have two teen-age children. Selena is 16 years and Jared is 14 years. Both are active in showing and helping care for our herd of Peruvian horses, which consists of 11 mares, 2 geldings and 2 stallions.

We started our adventure with Peruvians horses when our daughter was given an older Arab mare and I thought it would be wonderful to go on trail rides and spend quality time with her. I had gotten thrown from a horse when in high school and my back was never the same so I searched for a gaited horse. Smoothness of gait, a gentle disposition and stamina were the three traits I felt were the most important.

Our herd has grown from 2 brood mares to what we have now and we are looking forward to 4 foals this spring.  We decided in 2006 it was time to progress to the next step which meant hiring a Peruvian horse trainer to help us.

We were very fortunate when we met Henry Vargas, a very accomplished and experienced  Peruvian horse trainer from Peru.  He is experienced with Peruvian Horse Training, Peruvian Horse Breeding, and Peruvian Horse Boarding.
