Four Winds Ranch is a Peruvian Horse breeding, training and boarding facility located in southeast Wisconsin. We are 45 minutes from Milwaukee and Madison. The surrounding country side is rolling hills and fertile farm land situated in the Rock River Valley. Our 140 acres provides outdoor trails through the pastures, meadow and along the river. It is perfect for Peruvian horse boarding, Peruvian Horse training, and Peruvian Horse breeding.
We presently have 27 pure bred Peruvian Horses ranging from yearlings to 12 year old mares. We have two full time trainers and actively participate in the local shows and the national show in Texas.

We have chosen the Peruvian Horse because of the smoothness of gait, a gentle disposition and stamina. It is an ideal horse for beginners, children and people with back problems. The unique gait eliminates any of the traditional bounce found in a trotting horse.
The Peruvian Horse was originally unique to Peru. Its ancestors coming from the horses brought from Spain by the conquistadors. The horse was selectively bred for use by the plantation owners in Peru for its gait, temperament and stamina. The horses were used for the long rides around the plantations supervising the agricultural operations. |

These qualities continue to be prized in the Peruvian Horse in the United States today. It is for these attributes that we and other breeders strive for. Our breeding program is focused on open and proven bloodlines. Our horses have done well at both regional and national shows exemplifying these attributes.
